We would have loved to have seen video's on miniature Dachshunds but unfortunately there aren't many and those that there are don't really inspire and or show things as they really are. So we decided given we run a video production company to produce a sort of online reality Dachshund "FENellaFLEUR TV" channel and this essentially is the start of it.

Working with the Dachshund Breed Council

I've been working with Ian Seath and the Dachshund Breed Council to provide some more modern media orientated ways of getting the various messages about health issues affecting Dachshunds out into the wider pet arena as well as providing educational material for Breeders Exhibitors etc. This is the first of what I hope will be many such projects. Breeding Dachshunds - Working Title "The Chocolate Factory"

This is very much in it's raw stage and still needs to be completed (runs up to the pups we kept going to their first show) plus I plan to add possibly some instructional sections possibly including taking the bitch's temperature, PRA, Dapple breeding sections to it but more reality TV style. Given it's potential complexity this will take some time to complete. I'm showing the early rough edit stages and so that people can enjoy the various clips BUT also more importantly and so anyone can please feed back dislikes, likes, things you'd like to see added etc. I will then attempt to add or amend if at all possible and then finger crossed this should be a useful video for others in the future both potential owners, breeders and animal lovers every where. I hope eventually to get it shown on TV and who knows possibly even produce a reality TV series charting our journey onwards. From time to time important events happened when we didn't always have a full size camera to hand so odd clips were shot using a Nokia built in phone video camera and as such show as small windows in the centre of the screen. Most of the early video was taken using a hidden camera and although in many parts it looks like we left the bitch on her own we were normally just viewing from the next room. The breeding and showing of dogs has always been a bit of a hidden art we hope with this to inform, entertain and educate any one that loves these great little guys, hopefully it will appeal to animal lovers everywhere. Keep checking back as we will be updating regularly as we progress on our own individual journey with these great little guys. If you accidently appear in any video we show and wish not to please let us know and we will obscure you and your dog and so your identity is not apparent. Alternatively if you appear and would like to see more footage as quite a few people do, please contact us and we will see if we have more in the original unedited version that we can show you.
